Major update to the Field Guide
Sawubona and hello yall!
First off thanks to everyone who've downloaded the FG! It's currently at 3k + downloads, and to me that's just freaking loco, cus i would of never expected folks to be feeling the FG like they are. All that aside tho, it’s gotten a lot of critical and solid feedback, not only on the mech mechanics but also text layout, consistency, and plot through points. I won't bore you all with the details though, you can see a change log at the bottom of this post. As you saw in the title, this update is a hefty one, and includes updates/additions to the layout, narrative, plot hooks, downtime actions, core bonuses, and the mechs. Gone head and dig into this bad thang!
oh and I also wanted to give a big s/o to Siege, who has contributed a HUGE amount of art to the Field Guide. He is in many ways a co-contributor and I take every opportunity I can to thank that kat when i can. Much love to you bro. In addition to Siege, I'm colaborated with another artist Wain (@steelshadow) to add some faces to Mfecane. Wain’s art was super dynamic and I appreciate all his contributions. - scraped old CB and replaced for defensive CB that still grants invis

- kept same intent but simplified, it's basically a better OW that deals half damage

- scraped old CB because it was trash for a CB that provides a free brace mechanic
- Chest
Mech Stuff
Ibutho
- changed PtBT to allow movement before or after and in any direction towards the target
- buffed the dmg on Bull's Horns
- CP
- changed Chest Formation to proc on any attack not just melee attacks
- Passive CP
- SHAKA now procs when you would roll a cascade check
- Sub Dermal now works with any dmg that's below or equal to 10+Grit
- Ingoma
- changed Dance to a free stab when the Ibutho or any ally is hit. The old shred option just didn't fit well with the Ibutho and was more supporty
- The Crushing now lets you put down marks at up to range 9 from you
- Project the Ikanda now gives you immunity to knocked prone and knockback while active
amaDlozi
- made Siege's art the main art
- complete overhaul, the mech now works better with difficult and dangerous terrain
- gave the integrated 2 profiles and deals 10ap to objects and terrain
- Pillar down doesn't blow up and can stay forever
- moved Short Blast Cannon to LL1, and overhauled how it works
- Moved TE to LL2, and made it proc off starting or entering the space for the first time in a round
- Changed Gravity Isolation to a system, added a damage trait to the cover and limited the number one could place down
- Overhauled Beckon completely, it's now a Full action not a mod
Cetshwayo
- made Siege's art the main art
- changed aux/aux to flex mount
- LoP now ignores engagement and reactions and can happen after the attack (works like skirmisher)
- nerfed CP to do energy dmg and clear heat
- Chaff Missiles now deal 1 kinetic, 1 burn and 1 heat and have a simpler on hit effect they also gen heat now
- Bend the Knee changed entirely and now works to clear heat and meshes with the licenses now
- Inkemba changed to a main weapon and added dmg buff
- RtB now adds seeking
- AotK now works to give targets the heat gen from overkill or heat self tags
Grootslang
- made Siege's art the main art
- made self-guided shields a ll2 option
- made the Hand a ll1 option
- changed GPW to work with adjacency and deployable
